A little bit about me

I am a middle aged mother of 3, happily married, living in the suburbs of Chicago. All very standard, but once you dig into my story, you see it is anything but. In my nearly half-decade on this planet, this is a constant I see over and over again. No one is who they seem. That sounds ominous, and sometimes it is, but most of the time, it is fascinating, exciting, inspiring, and gives me hope. I don't want to drone on and on about me because that is not what this space is about; it is about all of us, our commonalities that unite us in a time where we could not be more a part as a community. I am a former professional dancer, born and raised in England, who toured with rock groups, appeared on TV and film, moved into the corporate sector, toed the line to provide for my family, and now want to move to my next chapter. None of this would you know by observing me in the coffee line on a Tuesday morning. The point being, you really have no idea what someone has experienced just by looking. True conversation and connection are so desperately needed. Only by asking and listening can you start to see how alike we all truly are. Take some time to ask and listen; you will not only walk away feeling happier and possibly surprised, but you may inspire the person you spoke with to do the same. That is the kind of chain reaction this world needs right now.
